Let me introduce myself and my paintings to you all.
First, I grew up in Vancouver with its beautiful views of the sea with its sailing boats, the mountains and tall trees, and the many parks with their glowing flowers. This and so much more forever etched on my soul. There is so much to love about the West Coast. I have been painting all my life from water colours to oils. I painted at school, at home, and in the parks. It was my mother who first introduced me to oil painting. So many colours the bright’s and the dark's all blending together to make more wonderful colours. With its rich smell of oil paint my mother and I even got to paint together when I was young. She taught me so much. Now I am a member of Port Moody Artist Association and 'Art Focus' Artists Association. Through them I have been introduced to new teachers, and had my paintings on display at various places and times through the years. I love the challenges that painting has brought me, from beams of light in a forest to the water tripping over rocks in search of the sea. My paintings are of landscape, nature, and birds, which all capture the beautiful treasures of the West Coast. My paintings are in private collections in Canada and the United States. |
